You'd need to consider an exemption, probably s29. Is he on the register? Does a HA normally vet residents on the register. If so no need for you to do anything. If not why is this relevant?
If you do think s29 applies also consider carefully that you may need to tell him about your intention as this is unlikely to prejudice the purpose.
