Hi
A friend who manages a post-compulsory teacher education course has
asked for advice about the following.
A male student who is totally blind is due to begin a teacher training
course in the upcoming academic year. He has asked to be considered for
a placement working in an offender learning setting. This will probably
be in a prison. Although the student will be supported by a sighted
helper, the course manager is concerned about potential health and
safety (i.e.security) issues.
Has anyone encountered a similar situation? Any thoughts/advice would be
gratefully received.
Regards
