Thanks Lois , useful to know!
We will have a lift, but this would be an interim measure while building works are going on.
Best wishes

As a wheelchair user who has just had their 30th anniversary as a disabled person I have to say I wouldn't touch a step-climbing wheelchair with the proverbial barge pole.
Campaign to get your organisation to do the decent thing and install a lift!

Dyscalculia Day for Students
* Do you know a dyscalculic student in Higher Education?
Many Institutions of Higher Education have only one or two dyscalculic students. We would like to invite the students to join us at Loughborough on Wednesday 17th June 2015 On this day we hope some dyscalculic students from various Institutions of Higher Education will come together to explore ideas about dyscalculia through a series of activities. Students will together engage in a range of activities, exchanging and sharing their experiences of dyscalculia in a safe and supportive environment.
The day’s activities will include:
* Getting to know each other
* What does dyscalculia mean to me in HE and in everyday life?
* What is dyscalculia?
* Where do we go from here?
Lunch is included and the day is FREE of charge.
Parents and tutors accompanying attending students are welcome Please pass this on to your students.

Subject: Step climbing wheelchairs
Dear colleagues
Has anyone used a step-climbing wheelchair in their institution, either for a specific student or on ' standby' for visitors? If so, do you have any observations or recommendations? I've seen one in use at Clapham Junction station, and wondered whether this might be useful in an interim period during some rebuilding works.
Please reply to me directly.
Best wishes
Lynnette
