I have used this for collaboration on a research project across 5 partners to share unclassified documents. So transfer of personal data (not including biogs of the participants) wasn't really part of this.
By coincidence I have received a marketing email from Huddle this morning in which they are calling themselves the UK Government approved cloud collaboration tool and they are quoting their support for a health initiative 'Advancing Quality Alliance (AQuA)'. http://www.advancingqualityalliance.nhs.uk/. May be worth contacting them.
We have not experienced any issues with the tool for the purposes we have used it.

Does anyone on here use 'Huddle' as a collaboration tool and for sharing data with outside organisations? If yes, any issues relating to personal data? Or do people use anything else similar they can recommned?
Thanks

Subject: CCTV
Hi
I've had an enquiry about whether it would be appropriate to release CCTV footage of a car park where someone has claimed their car has been damaged, to a member of the public. This is from the tenant of a rented office space in managed facilities.
I've looked through the CCTV guidance document on the ICO website and it says it's a judgement call, basically. I can understand someone wanting this if someone found their car broken into but assume this should be handled by releasing CCTV footage via the police rather than the individual? Of course, many incidents are less severe than theft and could be things like a car being scratched accidentally by someone parking in the next bay, or walking past etc - while frustrating and distressing for the owner of the car in question, could provision of the CCTV footage be rejected as it could lead to threats if the individual recognised the other person or car that caused the damage? I'm thinking there could also be an insurance claim aspect to this?
Any thoughts or advice would be gratefully received.

Hi Terry,
A very general response but:
We generally wouldn't consider release unless the police/insurance company requested it?
Where the low level 'accidental' damage occurs to the car you could view it and describe to the 'victim' what happened, you may even let them view it if you can disguise any third party identity but I would not release it to a member of the public' and certainly not unredacted.
You may also need to consider why there is CCTV camera's at the location? Will the footage be used for what it is being collected for?
Cheers
Steve.

You'd also have to keep the file in storage as disks/tapes usually overwritten after 30 days.

Hi Terry,
A very general response but:
We generally wouldn't consider release unless the police/insurance company requested it?
Where the low level 'accidental' damage occurs to the car you could view it and describe to the 'victim' what happened, you may even let them view it if you can disguise any third party identity but I would not release it to a member of the public' and certainly not unredacted.
You may also need to consider why there is CCTV camera's at the location? Will the footage be used for what it is being collected for?
Cheers
Steve.

Subject: [data-protection] CCTV
Regards
Terry

This request sounds to me like an example of the possibilities of new business developments by third parties working on secondary uses of personal data.
At the same time - even assuming that you have interest in additional streams of revenues and both social consensus and market viability exist for having such business case - the main problem remains obtaining customers consent and organising the data in a way that fit for purpose and cannot be exploited for other - may be illegal - reasons.
