I'm quite alarmed to see the new website for the Teaching Agency, formerly TDA. Where once it was quite simple to find information about special arrangements for QTS tests, it is now extremely difficult. The only way I could find it was to type QTS tests special arrangements, into the search box on the home page. The actual link to special arrangements is given below. (catchy little number!)
http://www.education.gov.uk/schools/careers/traininganddevelopment/qts/b00204556/special-needs/
And please note, the use of 'special needs'. It seems that since the TDA had become part of the Department of Education, it is adopting very 'schools based' language. It seems like a retrograde step to me.
If I've missed something and there is actually a very direct way of accessing the necessary information, please do get back to me. I hope to be corrected!
