I think that here, we were trying unsuccesfully to shoehorn a scanned image into myscript some time back, which was I made this erroneous statement....
Hmmmmm, OCR to ICR converter anyone? If its possible of course.......

Have I got this right? There are 3 algorithims - traditional OCR, myscript which needs a smart pen and..ICR?

Also - just to clarify, Myscript works with digital input devices by recognising patterns of pen strokes, but it is not technically OCR software and won't read handwritten documents that have already been created, see:-
