I think this is likely to fall under "medical expense" and therefore not
under DSA but I thought I would check with you lot just in case.
My students has a visual impairment which alongside acuity issues includes
a significant orthoptic impairment, nystagmus and other muscular problems.
She's been told the type of orthoptic physio she had where she grew up in
Europe is not available on the NHS (She is a UK student but I think has
lived abroad a lot or something).
There is no way that DSA (research council postgrad) would pay for this
even if it helped with reading is there?
I have sent her back to her GP for a second opinion because I wasn't sure
she hadn't been given poor advice NHSwise
Thanks,
Natalya
