The research exemption (Section 33) may help here. This provides an exemption to subject access where the results of the research are not made available in a form which identifies the data subject. As the student's report will not identify the child, this exemption would apply.
I also agree with Kevin, that if the reports are anonymous, there would be no disclosure in response to a SAR in any case.
Internally, in these circumstances we would consider providing a copy of the research report to the parent if this would not breach client or any other confidentiality obligations. However, we are a commercial company so the circumstances are different of course.
