Dear all,
Oxford University Library Services are planning a new library building
and preparing the full refurbishment of another building.
I am very keen in having individual study cubicles/self contained study
carrels for students who need to use speech activation software or
dictaphones to take notes.
Does your institution's library have them?
I would really appreciate if you could tell me:
*how many do you have?
*is there a ratio behind it (such as 5 areas/100 students?)
*are they requested by students?
Hopefully your replies will make us aware of what is best practice in UK
libraries to provide support for disabled students who are unable to
write/type their notes.
Thank you very much for your help.
Best wishes,
Teresa Pedroso
