A recent study/discussion paper has been published in the U.S. by Dr.

(A nod to privacylives.com and Los Angeles Times for drawing attention
to it)
Whilst I am aware that when run as a business, academia will
inevitably follow in the steps of common business practices, as do I,
is anybody aware if such use of social networking is made in the UK?
Societal liberty and freedom are of significance in this question,
which impact on many facets of privacy, and hence any legal answers
(including ICO advice) are as relevant in this context as the purely
social or ethical.
