Its about registering eligibility for support - nationality, residency
etc as PG students are not on the UCAS system etc so it gets a little
more complicated

Yes, I come across this all the time. I don't really know the reason,
but it's something to do with establishing eligibility for DSA -
that's not implying that DSA is means tested, it isn't, obviously.

Subject: application for DSA for part time students
Good afternoon all,
I've a situation where a part time student has submitted a DSA1 form
to her LA, but they are asking her to complete a PTG1 form as well.
The student in question earns more than the threshold to be eligible
for a part time fee grant, so wasn't planning on applying for it, but
her LA are insisting she complete it anyway.
Anyone come across this before, and know it her LA have good reason
for her having to complete the PTG1?
many thanks
Clara
