A person has died in a nursing home. A year ago a financial assessment was
done to see if he could receive financial help. The son and daughter have
fallen out. The brother, an executor of the will has asked for a copy of the
financial assessment in order to sort out the will. The daughter had power of
attorney when their father was alive. My question is, does an executor have
the right to see all the dead persons documents ? Also, I cannot see how an
historical report will help sort out the will. As DP doesn't apply to dead people
anyway, is he as next of kin entitled to the documents anyway.
Any comments from anyone ?
