Supporting Disabled Students to Succeed: Breaking Down the Barriers -
Tuesday 1 July 2008
Buckinghamshire New University - High Wycombe Campus
Dear colleagues
I would be grateful if you could pass details of the conference we are
running to any individuals that might be interested within your
institutions.
This conference aims to bring together academic staff, senior managers,
healthcare professionals and allied support staff to share models of
good practice and to develop a greater understanding of the challenges
and issues relating particularly to healthcare students.
Here at Bucks we are proud of the measures we have put in place to
support our disabled students and wish to be able to share and build
upon these practices with our colleagues in the sector. A particular
focus comes from supporting our Nursing Students in Practice which will
be the subject of one of the main sessions.
The conference programme and booking form are available at
www.bucks.ac.uk/disabilityconference . The event will be held at our
High Wycombe campus which is accessible by public transport, just a few
minutes walk from the bus and rail stations (Chiltern Railways train
from Marylebone), or by road the campus is approximately 1.5 miles from
Junction 4 of the M40. Free parking on campus will be allocated to
those booking an 'early bird'.
