Remploy survey of disabled undergraduates and graduates.
Vision Twentyone, an independent social research company, have been
commissioned by Remploy to conduct a survey of disabled undergraduates and
graduates, including those with dyslexia.
Aims of the research
• The purpose of the research is to better understand the needs of
disabled graduates and undergraduates.
• We aim to identify barriers into employment, employment aspirations,
support provision and the nature of entry into the job market amongst
other things.
• The results of our research will be reported to Remploy to inform their
service provision to disabled people, particularly those moving from
education to employment.
• Any personal information provided will be retained in confidence and
will not be shared with our client or any third party.
How you can help
• In order to provide an evidence base for this important piece of
research, we need to survey 350 disabled undergraduates and 150 disabled
graduates across the UK. Around 50% of these must be dyslexic.
• We hope that you will be able to assist us in contacting undergraduates
or graduates. This might be through personal contact you have with
students, by sending a link to the survey to students via a mailing list,
by publicising the survey on your website, or by any other means you deem
appropriate. We can provide you with leaflets, posters, text etc depending
on your preferences.
What’s in it for you
• The results of this research will inform Remploy’s service provision to
students, including those at your institution.
• Every student who meets the criteria and completes the questionnaire
will receive £10 as a thanks for their time.
Timescales
• We expect the questionnaire to be available at the end of the week. It
will be active for two weeks, finishing around 6th December.
