Yes I agree the ICO guidance on the "3 tier" FPN is a bit excessive,
Especially as this is aimed at young people.
In previous years I have created the FPN in form of a generic leaflet
that the schools can distribute with their own covering letter.
This year I was planning to update the leaflet and put the full version on
our website.
Based on the ICO recmmendations - I'm thinking about putting a
simplified "tier 2" FPN into leaflet, and the "tier 1" text into the
covering letter. I am going to update the "war and peace" full (tier 3)
version on the website.
Would be interesting to hear from anyone else who has tried to simply the
text?
