Subject: question for a collegue
Hi all,
A colleague of mine has just found out that two of her children have a
rather rare progressive condition called neurofibromatosis (type NF1) -
would anyone be able to advise as to how she can find out if she is
entitled to any help with transport to hospital for their treatment
sessions (she does not drive)? Or any other help.
I've suggested that she check out the "Contact a Family" website, as
they usually have advice/information, but I'm stumped as to where else
she might try looking.
Who does one contact with regard to checking entitlement to appropriate
benefits/allowances (attendance allowance or similar) - as although we
are both aware that these things exist, neither of us has any idea of
where to start looking or who to approach.
If anyone has any pointers or advice to offer, perhaps I could ask you
to respond to me off-list, to save the rest of dis-forum from being
inundated with this.

Thanks!
