That can also be a problem with personal email - I
think that such websites normally recommend printing
out the response on the webpage for that very reason.
I recently was notified by a Health Trust of the
arrangements for a job interview over the phone.
Subsequently I wished to confirm the details over the
phone and I had great difficulty making contact with
the manager - it turned out that her mobile phone
number was incorrectly given on the Internet.
They said that they had sent the interview details by
email - maybe they had but I never received it.
I have my BT email set up to send spams to the
Bulk/Spam folder on the BT website. It so happens that
many of the DP list seem to go to this site.
I am not sure therefore whether we should rely on
emails for such matters (although I know we all do).
And Roland demonstrates that we certainly shouldn't
rely on using the Internet at work for our own
personal use - we can hardly blame our employer's
system if our own personal holiday arrangements go
wrong.
Whereas they might be sympathetic if the tickets to a
conference don't turn up!
