Absolutely right, Gerard, in my opinion. I think there would be enormous
advantages for everybody -- except, of course, for the managers and
administrators who would have the impossible job of planning the room
allocations and invigilations. I think most exams should be untimed.
Mind you, as a student I wouldn't welcome such a change.
