I have just read an article from the THES dated 07.07.06 about some
research that was done at Sheffield University about dyslexia and
web-based discussion fora. To quote:
"Our research confirms that in a synchronous learning environment such
as chatrooms and text conferences it is certainly true that students
with dyslexia will be at a severe disadvantage. Students with dyslexia
are at risk of exclusion and marginalisation in any e-learning activity
that involves this type of technology."
