Dear All,
Yep, we have that problem as well. We only have two carparks that are
accessible in our student parking area, so not many at all. We have a
procedure where if students can present medical evidence we will give
them a University blue card which means they can come in and park for
free, we don't tell them whether they can use an accessible parking bay
or not, but most are happy provided they can park on site.
We do have a few problems with our students union not liking the fact
that we now have several people that are parking for free and therefore
they are losing income, but I don't have a great deal of sympathy for
them, largely because when they use that money to create services for
students they don't always make those same services accessible.
