I'ved used the Action on Access Statistics before which relate to
disability-type, subject etc, however I'm unsure how much these take into
account the issues raised in this mornings emails...

Subject: Re: Number of Dyslexic students in HEI?
Anyone know where to get a breakdown of disability by subject studied?
I.e. how many dyslexics should I expect to have here on the basis of the
subject areas we teach rather than a whole HE sector value?

Subject: Number of Dyslexic students in HEI?
Hi,
I am currently undertaking an assignment looking at the barriers faced
by dyslexic individuals in institutionalised settings, with a specific
'compare and contrast' between HEIs and the Prison/Probation Service.
Would anyone happen to know where I can access data, or if it exists,
that may show the prevalence of dyslexia within HEIs? Or is anyone able
to tell me the number of dyslexic students within their specific HEI as
compared to non-dyslexic students?
Please feel free to contact me off-list if you wish. Thanks for your
help.
Best wishes,
Alexandra Spain
