However, it's my impression that the culture in corporate America is
that asking a potential employee to divulge their age at interview would
go down about as well as asking them how often they had engaged in anal
sex. Given that taboo, it's not surprising if an American is reluctant,
in the first instance, when asked in the UK. (About, age, that is...)
