Hi
I was at the Securing Privacy in the Internet Age Conference at Stanford
Law over the weekend and someone asked what the prevalence of identity
theft was in European countries.
In the US, the statistics are staggering, however, we have different credit
policies which might account for the rampant numbers of theft.
Does the data protection legislation in Europe help to alleviate and or
minimize identity theft?
What is the identity theft situation in the UK?
Thanks for your answers
Saundra
