Combine IT skills and disability support
With a positive attitude to empowering disabled students, you will use your
knowledge of PC applications and operating systems, develop expertise in
adaptive technology for disabled people, and combine it with excellent
communication and interpersonal skills to support students with disabilities
(including dyslexia), delivering services which generate income.
Based at University College Northampton, you will undertake assessments of
students' needs, working closely with the East Anglia Regional ACCESS Centre
in Cambridge, who will be provide training and continued professional
development. A significant role will be to train students in the use of IT
and adaptive technology, often in the student's own residence.
