Has anyone come across the above case? It has been in the county court and
was appealed to High Court in July of this year. Apparently the judgement
was reserved at the time. Not sure where it originated. It concerns the
Data Protection Act and the meaning of "relevant filing system".
Any information on it would be much appreciated.
Thanks.

Subject: Re: [data-protection] Staff policies on e-mail and internet use
& Confidentiality statements
Whether it is a good example or not I will leave you to judge ;-) but our
Publication Scheme contains:
IT Use at
http://www.becta.org.uk/subsections/foi/documents/org_management/technical_
support/it_acceptable_use_policy.pdf
Confidentiality and Conduct at
http://www.becta.org.uk/subsections/foi/documents/org_management/hr/code_of
_conduct.pdf
And I can confirm that all staff and contractors etc. do sign a statement
covering this kind of thing when they start.
Regards
Jim
