I don't know how this works with ADHD but things I used to be hyperactive
and had to change my diet a lot as a child... avoid anything with caffeine,
also citrus fruits and juices, plus things with too much sugar...
Perhaps something like Tai Chi or Yoga would also be helpful... I do karate
and I find that when I am very anxious and jittery doing some of the 'kata'
(formal sets of moves with controlled breathing) is very soothing, calming
and helps me to concentrate and focus... I used to do that a lot before
exams...
There may also be some natural remedies that have calming, relaxing
effects... Worth asking someone at a health-food store about natural
supplements perhaps...
