It depends on the students status. If an enrolled home student the
DSA is there, as would be the Hardship fund. If employed on the
placement the Access to Work Scheme could kick in. Or you
could try the Snowden Fund, used by deaf students regularly (and
was all they had, more or less, before DSA came in.)
If they are on a placement, in what situations would SLI be
required?
