Dear All
Please can I bring to your attention some updating to the Demos Project website which may be of use to you.
We have just replaced the module that relates to admissions of disabled applicants with an improved version which is
available at:
http://www.demos.ac.uk/course/admiss/welcome.html
We have included a set of interviews with students from the Demos universities:
http://www.demos.ac.uk/resource/interviews/welcome.html
And you may also be interested in a couple of reports -
A survey of over 250 staff (mainly teaching) questioned about staff development at:
http://www.demos.ac.uk/project/reports/0207.html
and a report on 'Disability Officers as Educational Developers' which has appeared in the online journal, Interactions, at the University of Warwick :
http://www.demos.ac.uk/project/reports/0210.html
We currently have a number of universities who are adapting or using the Demos materials in their
staff development programmes. The online modules can also be adapted and used for face-to-face sessions.
For example, I have just delivered a face-to-face workshop which replicates the admissions module and can provide the
outline and PowerPoint files if anyone wants to use them.
If anyone wishes to utilise the materials please feel free to contact me.
We are currently in the process of producing three further modules which should be available online before the end of November:
Teaching and Learning
SENDA (commissioned from Skill)
Disability Awareness
So it is worth checking out the website occasionally.
