What does everyone think of companies like the one below?

Simply the process of handing a machine containing data to a third party who
have no right to see the data, is surely in itself a breach of the act. They
do not seem to guarantee that they won't look at the data first before they
destroy it.

Computer Disposal and Recycling Ltd can provide every solution for your
waste disposal needs.

Our valued and well-known reputable business is your problem solver and
also your I.T. provider.
CDR Ltd are specialists in recycling redundant I.T. equipment.

We are registered Waste Carriers, and able to wipe all computer equipment
to Government standards in accordance with the Data Protection Act, and for
your peace of mind all equipment is electrically tested before re-selling.

We also have all the relevant licenses, our details are as follows:

CDR Ltd - Company Registration No: 4055688.

Registered under the Data Protection Act 1984 Registration No: X3813881.

Waste Management License No: E000542.

Waste Carriers License No Under Section 33 of the Environmental Protection
Act: LIN/515367.

(Moving material without a W.C.L. could lead to a fine of £20,000 or 5 years
imprisonment, depending on the situation.)

The information above is of great importance as it is against the law for
anyone to dispose of or carry waste computers without a waste carriers
license. Also it is against the law to sell on used computer equipment
without first removing any previously stored data.

The above again provides peace of mind to our clientele and also a good
knowledge that they are receiving Quality Assurance, as we are strict
followers of the current EEC Regulations:

    Our Clientele includes:

North West Water, Woolwich Building Society, British Energy, Blackpool NHS
Trust, Department Of Health, Health And Safety Executive, Highland Regional
Council, Bank Of England, IBM and Haliburton Brown And Root to name but a
few.

To dispose of equipment in the correct manner, all data has to be wiped from
various parts of the machine. Once the items collected have been audited, we
issue our customers with a Removal/Disposal /Destruction Certificate to be
kept on file for two years.

It is a fact that CDR Ltd continues to hold a large "Success Rate" with
the deals that are made within the company and also with our customers.

In addition we can supply new and used equipment at the keenest prices, and
will source specific items if required.

We are able to refurbish useable second user equipment for those wishing to
do so.

We also collect and deliver to or from anywhere in the U.K.

CDR Ltd profess to be the best as we carry out our procedures to outstanding
standards. We are capable of every I.T. Matter whether it is big or small.
