Hi,
Can I suggest some of the Sub-notbook range. There are some problems.
Some of the machines have smaller screens and you often find that the
memory and CPU speed is short of what you'd expect for a Voice recognition
Machine. Also, you sometimes (but by no means always) find that in order
to reduce the weight the floppy drive and the CD drive are only available
externally.
Sony produce the PCG-C1VE a pentium III 600 (I'm not sure of the weight but
the screen is around 10.4")
Toshiba produce the Portege 3400 which weighs in at 1.55KG
Acer offer the 340T with 450MHz Pentium III, no floppy or CD-ROM drive are
provided internally. It measures 289 x 219 x 23.5mm and weighs 1.8kgs so
slightly more than the above Toshiba
Hope these are of help.
