All,
have just been reading through the COP for Employer/ employee relationships
and
have a question regarding Part I section 3.3 on sickness records.
It states, ' only hold sickness records of employees if you have the
explicit
consent of each employee or if one of the other conditions for processing
sensitive data is satisfied(priciple I)'
My question is, does an organisation which asks individuals to fill out a
sickness form when they have been off sick, and in some cases have to
conduct a
return to work interview, need to ask for each employee to sign a form
stating
that they do not mind the employer holding this info. Or is it an implied
condition when they start working for the company that the company can do
this??
