I wonder if anyone has any experience that they could share.
I have been approached by someone who is visually impaired and who can
touch type. She uses a PC but has problems using the mouse as the cursor is
often hard to find/track and the position she sits in makes it difficult.
We have been looking at voice recognition software (Dragon Naturally
Speaking Professional) as a possibility to help. The problem is that we are
not sure that this software will solve the biggest problem (using the
mouse, toolbars etc.) especially when using web browsers, and as she can
touch type, the benefits gained may not be as great as we would hope. Does
anyone have any similar experience? We are concerned about spending lots of
money on a package that is not the most effective way to solve the problems.
Thank you in advance, KATIE...
