1) I hope to see many of you at BETT this week, Olympia Wed 13th to
Saturday 16, 10-6 except Saturday 4.30.We're on Stand SN27.
2) Apart from the usual range of technology for dyslexia, we'll be
launching in the UK the Reading Pen, which scans printed words, pronounces
them out loud and gives a dictionary definition. A handier alternative to a
Franklin, and particularly valuable for people who have difficulty copying
words accurately. It comes with an instruction video. It'll normally be ukp
169.79, but we are offering it to DIS-FORUM MEMBERS who are assessing
people/recommending equipment for 40% off for your own use.
3) Lorien, producers of textHELP!, have changed their name for the sake of
clarity and are now textHELP! Systems Ltd. The textHELP! 98 program has
become textHELP! Read and Write and now costs, please note, ukp 115, not
95. They (and we) are also showing the new textHELP! Type and Talk word
processor for the MAC at BETT.
Regards
Ian Litterick
