In our halls of residence the flats are adapted for students who are
deaf/hearing impaired. We have vibrating devices for pillows and a
flashing light in their bedroom, plus a flashing light in the comunal
area of their flat. These devices are linked into the fire alarm system,
so if a real fire or a test the student is alerted to leave the
buliding.
