Skill: National Bureau for Students with Disabilities
Conferences
Working through higher education
Thursday 2 December 1999
Chancellors Conference Centre
Manchester
The theme of this year's conference 'Working through higher education'
focuses on equal access for disabled students to development opportunities.
The conference will explore accessible work placements, vocational courses,
work experience, volunteering opportunities and mentoring schemes.
Alongside our main theme there will also be opportunities for staff working
with disabled students in higher education to get up-to-date with
developments in the sector, changes to the law, examples of good practice
and develop their own skills. The day will be particularly useful for new
staff employed under funding council projects.
