When one of our students went abroad last year to an EU country I
was advised that she should send a letter from her doctor saying
what her needs are with a copy of her form E111 and evidence that
it is part of her course to the person who answers on 0171-210-
5863 (the actual person changed while I was dealing with it, the
last one being Ms Emma Jenkins)
International Branch
Dept of Health
Room 512 Richmond House
79 Whitehall
London SW1A 2NS
The person concerned will then issue Form E112 for a pre-existing
condition.
I take it that Form E112 will come with some advice on what to do
with it! The student concerned is due back this term, so i have not
found out what happened but I never heard from her or her parents
that things were not working. However her needs, though serious,
were not quite as critical as those of someone who needed dialysis
