I very much doubt that the tone of this can be attributed to Chris
Singleton. I had my own experience of trying to explain a dyslexia
issue to the Independent in '93. I wanted a balanced piece and
gave the names of several people for the journalist to talk to. She
said she was going on holiday within three days and wanted the
piece done by then. She recognised one of the names and based
the entire article on her. Needless to say, the purpose of the article
was sacrificed to the author's convenience. One wonders why they
trouble to interview us at all.
