Greetings
RE: A counseling tool/forum
I am Robert Leslie Newman. I have a new web site called "Adjustment To
Blindness And Visual Impairment." It is a unique counseling and
educational forum for the frank discussion of blindness related issues.
It would be of interest to your staff and students. I am requesting your
participation in my effort to gather written accounts of our experiences
and thoughts as we adjust to specific issues of vision loss.
"Changing what it means to be blind" is my purpose and toward that end,
there are two major features to my web site:
"THOUGHT PROVOKER" is an e-mail/web site discussion forum. Each
Provoker
presents a short-short story encapsulating a specific issue of blindness,
readers respond and their thoughts are listed one after another in the
same message. No where else, neither on the web, nor in hardcopy will you
find grouped so many opinions or feelings on a specific issue all in one
place.
The short story section presents stories wherein the main characters are
blind and are dealing with adjustment to blindness and life.
Please visit and participate. Thank you
Robert Leslie Newman
