Our info is that the Act is likely to commence during the second half of the
second quarter of this year (May/June); the fact that the DTI published
regulations which relate to the 1984 Act and which are due to start in May
seems to support this.
The reason for the delay is the 100 pages of regulations!
The 1998 Act is law. The impact of the delay is to shorten the First
Transitional Period.
