Apparently, the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy have
lobbied on this one in the past. They had hoped to use the
'Access to Work' scheme to provide equipment for students
on placement, but placement has been defined as
educational. One would apparently need a contract of
employment to qualify. I suppose it depends whether any of
these year-long sandwich placements are conducted with an
employment contract. I think probably not.
