£25,452 - £30,065 p.a.
Applications are invited from graduates or holders of equivalent qualifications for a
full-time post of Disability Officer.
The University is setting up a Disability Unit within the welfare function of the
Student Progress Office, to provide an improved and coherent service to students
with disabilities. As the Disability Officer you will lead the Unit, developing day-to-
day services for students and applicants with disabilities and playing a major role in
formulating policies and procedures relating to disability issues across different
functional areas of the University. For the first three years, the setting up and
operation of the Disability Unit will form part of a project funded by the Higher
Education Funding Council for England under its initiative 'Improving Provision for
Disabled Students'. You will act as the project manager. The post is available from
1 February 2000.
