Yes, I have comments to make to the person at Brunel, Angela, but they
are mostly not printable. I am senior advisor for my department. My
duty of care for my advisees is to the student, not the institution.
The institution itself has a duty of care to its members, including
those in difficulties.
There are several things about the message which are offensive. Here is
one. The writer lumps sectioning with "mental/physical disability". The
former implies an illness. Senior Assistant Registrars should be able
to make such discriminations. Would they punish someone because of
their illness?
