On 16 October, Heath Boffey asked:
>Does anyone know of any good CD ROM based law dictionaries and also law
>reports for use by a dyslexic student?
We were involved in the assessment/support of a dyslexic law student last
year - and therefore have part of the information you're seeking:
'The All England Law Reports 1936-1995' are available on CD ROM for a
massive stlg6750, with a single year CD (1996) available for stlg650.
However, lawyers and students who subscribe to the publication entitled 'All
England Weekly' get a marked reduction on these prices. An annual
subscription to this publication costs stlg240. Your university library
will be able to give you the publisher's details.
I would strongly recommend that any dyslexic student faced with this
mountain of text (even on CD) is also supplied with a 'text-to-speech'
facility to enable selections to be read back to him/her.
Hope this helps!
