I tried a little experiment using Simply Speaking Gold.
I used a combination of a CRM 220 FM Radio Transmitter/receiver and
plugged it into the mike input of the sound card. With the mike
attached to my collar and set to hi gain (Yes the software
had been trained to my voice) results..... not bad at all!!!!!
Not quite as good as the direct input but I was able to read the
input from the screen and then from the saved file on disk.
I did run into the problems of WAV. files taking
humungeous slices of space!!
I need advice here, perhaps a combination of good compression
software hooked to the voice recognition software will do the trick
BUT I agree that we are still a way off from the ideal BUT watch this
space!!!:-))))
