Great ones to start with!
I think you'll be lucky to get funding for counselling from anywhere
but the Access Fund - and if you have good counselling provision
in-house, it might be difficult to even argue that, depending on the
Fund criteria/administrators.
For your disabled student, it probably would be an educational trust
that would assist - I don't know which SKILL names, but there are so
many, I'm sure one is appropriate, particularly in a case like this.
You need to get hold of a copy of "The Educational Grants Directory"
published by the Directory of Social Change, and check both local and
national trusts. Better still, see if you can find a local university
that has "InSpire", which is a computer database of educational
information, including loads of trusts. It's produced by KTS in
Edinburgh, and quite a lot of places have it, including Bath and UWE,
but you really need direct access rather than asking someone else to
do a search. Perhaps anyone in your area reading this will get in
touch!
Best of luck,
