CHESS (Consortium of Higher Education Support Services for Deaf
Students) endorsed a paper produced by Margaret Miller of the Sheffield
College which outlines the various shortcomings of DSA for Deaf Students
some time ago, this was sent to DfEE. If members of CHESS are agreeable
I suggest we review the document, possibly gathering fresh evidence and
offer the paper for consideration. Following this mailing I would
appreciate the following:
1. A CHESS meeting date and venue (I will be writing to all CHESS
members to ensure that those who do not view dis-forum are informed)
where we can discuss this.
2. Guidance from anyone for how to go about lobbying, who to approach
etc.
Thanks
