Hi all
There was a short piece in the Guardian yesterday regarding a woman
(not in education) who is suing her LEA for loss of earnings because
she was not diagnosed while at school for Dyslexia, she is being
represented by Cherie Booth. Her case is that she received remedial
help at school but was classed as of low intelligence and her
Dyslexia was not recognised. When she left school her parents saw a
television programme on Dyslexia and she was subsequently referred
and diagnosed. However because of her poor reading skills she has
not been able to gain good employment since.
Does any one have knowledge of this particular case or of others that
might be in the pipeline?
