Marie,
At Staffordshire we have much experience of supporting and managing
support workers who provide 24hr care for a number of our disabled
students. We pioneered our own in house scheme 5yrs ago with
great success, and will have around 20 workers here next term. Im
away next week, but if you would like to have more info then contact
Jon Lovatt, our Scheme Coordinator. We have lots of documentation
which could be useful in addition to a short video made some time
ago with both student users of the scheme and their support workers.
We have a couple of students who work with 3 f/t helpers and 2
students with 4 each.

Good luck, this field is not without its pitfalls!
