i went recently to Latvia to study life of disabled people; one good result was
to set up a Benevolent Society under management of MD of a British firm in Riga
which colects money and goods and distributes them to the needy who can benefit.
the firm operates a shipping line and can arrnage free transport of donated
goods for issue. There are requests for free-if possible- computers for helping
the disabled to learn at a distance in their own homes, laundry and kitchen
equipment for a home for mentally disabled with 450 in house, wheel chairs and
artificial limbs.
Goods in any (within reason) condition gladly accepted since there are many
workshops and technicians capable of improvising repairs. I have not found free
issue from official sources possible as they used to be. Offers directly please
to Edward Bowen MD Furness Terminals on Internet: [log in to unmask]
