At Edinburgh we usually pay the student demonstrator rate (around
stlg8.50) for tasks like note-taking, scribing or 1-1 tutorial support
which require a certain amount of expertise, and stlg4 an hour for
easier tasks such as reading or practical tasks like getting books
out of the library. The University offers study skills support to
dyslexic students free of charge. We do not make any administration
or assessment charges.
